Mission of Aging Solutions
Aging Solutions’ priority is to support the health and safety of older adults and people with disabilities and help keep them living independently at home. Aging Solutions supports individuals receiving case management through the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA) and provides emergency financial assistance for rent, security deposits, and utilities; household items and repairs; medical items and safety repairs; microwaves, vacuums, fans and space heaters; and other essential support.
2024 Impact
Aging Solutions supported 131 individuals in 2024, which enabled them to maintain their health and safety at home. More than 50 individuals received housing assistance. Approximately 450 COAAA consumers received more than $47,000 in financial support, inventory items valued at $10,000, and 1,500 received items through the annual gift drive.
The 2024 Year in Review includes more details about assistance.
Supporting Older Adults & Individuals with Disabilities
Your donation to Aging Solutions helps older adults and people with disabilities maintain their health and safety. One hundred percent of your donation is dedicated to services and supports that help keep people living independently at home—whether they live alone or with another person in a house, apartment or senior building, were formerly in a skilled nursing facility, or were homeless and are now moving into their own place.
There are times when a small amount of financial support can make a big difference. Many of the consumers served by COAAA are required to have limited income to receive services. They occasionally have urgent needs that are not covered by any other public or private funding source.

Annual Gift Drive
The annual Gift Drive provides COAAA consumers with gifts at the end of the year. For many of the individuals, it’s the only present they get at the holidays. COAAA case managers identify people they serve and verify what they wish for; often it is items such as blankets, winter coats, bedding, towels, and other minor luxuries or everyday necessities. Donors are matched to requests and fulfill gift requests in December.
In 2024, more than 1,500 individuals received personal gifts from community donors at Chase, Besa, and more. The kindness and generosity of these donors bring smiles to the staff and people served by COAAA.
The Holiday Gift Drive was started in 2006 by Judy Camp, a registered nurse who dedicated her life to the care of senior citizens. She was inspired to start the gift program because of a thank you note she received from a nursing home resident who had received a Christmas card from Camp. In the first year of the program, Camp and her daughter Mary Donahue sponsored gifts for 100 seniors. The gift drive has continued to grow each year and is an amazing legacy of Judy Camp, who passed away in 2010. It is a labor of love for Donahue, who is an Aging Solutions board member and continues to provide leadership to the program in honor of her mother. Besa joined as a gift drive partner in 2012.
