Need Assistance?
2-1-1 Information and Referral Service
2-1-1 is a telephone number reserved by the Federal Communications Commission to connect people in need to Information and Referral (I &R) services, which have trained professionals who assist individuals and families in efficiently finding the help they need. 2-1-1 information and referral services are free and operate 24 hours 7 days a week. Calls are private and confidential; however, you do not need to identify yourself to get information. Most 2-1-1s also have community resource information available online with searchable databases or listings.
2-1-1 Information and Referral Specialists assist callers in finding help with a wide range of needs. These include, but are not limited to:
Food Assistance
Emergency and low-income housing
Emergency financial assistance
Employment
Free and low-cost health, vision and dental care
Information about human services agencies
Mental health and addiction services
Support groups

2-1-1 services are available in most, but not all parts of Ohio. Availability and service may also vary depending on your cellular, cable, or VOIP service provider. In Ohio, to locate the 2-1-1 serving your county visit www.211ohio.net.
