Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging is a growing social service organization. We have full-time and part-time career opportunities for licensed social workers and registered nurses in programs serving and supporting individuals with disabilities and adults age 60 and over.

COAAA is a mission-driven organization with a great work culture. COAAA is part of the City of Columbus with excellent benefits: employees are in the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) with the employer contribution of 14% to individuals’ retirement and are supported by two unions. Other available benefits include vision, dental, deferred compensation, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, student loan forgiveness, and more. Our staff are not scheduled to work on evenings, weekends, or holiday shifts. Staff members are also able to earn all required continuing education requirements through free in-house trainings. 

After onboarding, orientation, and training, some employees are eligible to request the ability to work from home and to establish a flexible schedule.

Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging is seeking an experienced licensed social worker or registered nurse to oversee one of our largest care coordination programs.  We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to connect with and inspire others in an ever-changing environment. Successful candidates should have past leadership and management experiences as well as the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously bringing both critical analysis and creativity to the efforts.  Relationship building and good communication skills with employees and external partners is a significant part of the position.

Aging Programs Care Coordinator (internal titles: Assessor or Care Coordinator)
Care Coordinators use their skills, knowledge, and judgment to ensure that older adults and individuals with disabilities of all ages remain safe and healthy at home. Aging Programs Care Coordinators work independently with support, advice, and encouragement from their team members and managers. (Part-time positions may also be available. At COAAA we work with a variety of populations: older adults (age 60+) living at home, Medicaid-eligible adults (age 21+), Medicaid-eligible adults living in an approved assisted living facility, and adults recently discharged from the hospital.
